To solve the problem, insert this is local.conf (or a distro conf file):

PREFERRED_PROVIDER_jpeg = "libjpeg-turbo"
PREFERRED_PROVIDER_jpeg-native = "libjpeg-turbo-native"
</pre>

It looks like you get into this situation when you try to build vlc, since it DEPENDS on libjpeg-turbo.
