[Openembedded-architecture] LSB is dead; when shall we drop it?

Specifications like Carrier Grade Linux require the LSB tests to be run and
certain tests to be passed.

So it is still necessary to have support for an LSB configuration.

This always confuses me. What is the 'cost' to keeping it working?

QT4 is external of core. It is already documented as optional within OE-Core.
If someone wants LSB requirements and doesn't want QT4, there is nothing wrong
with that behavior. (In fact this is typical in our style of embedded systems.)

What needs to happen, is simply documentation -- in the code or in a release
note -- that indicates the parameters and what is and isn't supported by
OE-Core, and additional layers -- if we have that knowledge.

(Really making sure this keeps working should not be more then a day or so work
over the course of every stable release. If it is, we need to understand what
is causing this work.)
