[Openembedded-architecture] patchwork (etc) support for BSP layers (OEDAM 2017)

Hi,

One of the items discussed over lunch at the recent OEDAM 2017, but that I
can't find in the notes, was about including support for more layers in
patchwork.

The premise is: there's been a lot of work recently to update patchwork to
better integrate with the preferred OE/Yocto workflow. Is that work done? Are
we happy with the new patchwork? If so, can we now start to add more layers
(maybe BSP layers?) to it?

If I remember correctly, one of the points that was raised was that things
like patchwork require resources, and those resources aren't free. So for
various BSP layers maybe some sort of financial participation could be
requested? If so, can anyone suggest what sort of participation might be
sufficient and with whom this could be discussed privately? (i.e. becoming a
member of the Yocto Project, or a member of the Linux Foundation or
something?)

Someone then suggested we could contact the RaspberryPi foundation in order to
add meta-raspberrypi to patchwork?

I believe some people also mentioned that there are other such infrastructure
pieces vendors might be interested in? The build service? A test service? etc?
Does anyone remember what those others might be too?

Best regards,
	Trevor
