I reported this as a bug against the Angstrom distribution rather than OE. The
answer I think at this stage is going to be a new kernel rather than work on
the old handhelds kernel (which is unmaintained, so reporting bugs there will
likely achieve nothing).

Honestly I think if this is not the place for distro bugs anymore then there
needs to be another place instead.
