For the record, comment #13 was made in error. I had actually booted from an
older kernel as the one produced by OE was too big and didn't get flashed. I
have since configured a smaller kernel that boots within console-image and runs
the rtc-sa1100 driver without locking up. This bug has indeed been fixed.
