Hi, any news about this issue? I've also run into it.

Naively, one would expect to have in /etc/device_table the same stuff specified
in IMAGE_DEVICE_TABLES, but I agree that with a static conf the 'devices'
script would not be needed at all.

Could we make the installation of 'devices' and '/etc/device_table' conditional
checking if IMAGE_DEVICE_TABLES is defined and not empty?
