Hello,

I reopened the bug because I think gcc version for armv7a should also be bumped
in angstrom.
With the following overrides I built an angstrom-gnome-image in angstrom-2008.1
distro:

PREFERRED_VERSION_gcc-cross = "4.4.4"
PREFERRED_VERSION_gcc-cross-initial = "4.4.4"
PREFERRED_VERSION_gcc-cross-intermediate = "4.4.4"
PREFERRED_VERSION_binutils-cross = "2.20.1"

Works well.
