Important announcement 30/07/2018

Dear Vaultorian,

On July 29th an unauthorized user gained access to our third party customer support system. You are receiving this notification because, according to our records, you have submitted at least one email to support at vaultoro.com

Although the incident has been fully contained, it is possible that the unauthorized user gained access to the email address you used to get in touch with our support team, as well as the content of the email request. If you have received an email from Vaultoro in the last 48hs, please ignore it and report it to security at vaultoro.com

Is my Vaultoro account safe?
Yes it is.
This incident affected our third party ticketing system exclusively. Our data base, and any user personal data in your Vaultoro account, such as financial, password or personal documentation has not been affected.

How could I be affected by this incident?
The unauthorized user could potentially email you pretending to be us to try to gather your Vaultoro credentials using deceptive emails and websites.

What can I do to prevent this from happening?
* If you have previously fallen for a phishing email, please immediately change your account password. Set up two-factor authentication on your Vaultoro account

* If you receive a suspicious email containing a link or attachments, do not click the link or open the attachments.

* Vaultoro will never send you an email with a link asking you to enter your credentials if you didn’t request it.
* If you are not sure whether an email is legitimate, please do not hesitate to ask us. You can reach us at security at vaultoro.com

What are you doing to prevent this from happening again?
We are adopting a new ticketing system with better security features, as well as establishing a security protocol for third party applications that meet Vaultoro’s security standards.

Further questions / concerns?
Our Data Protection Officer is always available for any open questions you may have at security at vaultoro.com

Thank you for the support,
Vaultoro Team.
