The makefile says:

PREFIX = /usr/local
SBINDIR = $(PREFIX)/sbin
DOCDIR = $(PREFIX)/share/doc
MANDIR = $(PREFIX)/share/man

So we should probably pass the correct paths for DOCDIR and MANDIR to
handle the distribution changing those values.
