its worth of 1.5 years of development/bugfixes in binutils, added
support for architectures
that we don't support as primary architectures. But the original
patches were posted
long ago, I thought they have already been vetted and this was an
addendum to the original
patches, Ubuntu/archlinux are already using it for 15.04 release.
