[oe] Distro or machine vars that can modify FILESPATH?

Hi,
I am compiling ucslugc and uclibc configuration fails due to a filepath error.
It gets before the uClibc.machine from files/uClibc.machine  than from
uClibc-0.9.29/ixp4xxbe/uClibc.machine unless i set FILESPATH variable
in uclibc bb file to get before from
${FILE_DIRNAME}/uclibc-${UCLIBC_BASE}/${MACHINE_ARCH}.

The strange thing is that for koen works well building angstrom
distro, so i suppose that it must be something relative to config
vars.
Is there a way to see how bitbake chooses files from different paths and why?
