Hey,

we have talked about creating a legal entity at the first and second OEDEM and
the result of the second OEDEM was that we will create a German registered
association (e.V., non-profit, not for business). Some of us (mostly me) have
shamelessly used the the KDE e.V. statutes [1] and replaced KDE with
OpenEmbedded and did some other minor work (e.g. replacing Desktop with other
things).

At FOSDEM we sat together and hold the required founding assembly, according
to my notes Florian, Mickeyl, Robert and me are part of the first board. We
four still have to do the necessary things to register the association.

Goal of the OpenEmbedded:
The primary goal is to support the development of OpenEmbedded. This can
include providing/paying infrastructure, sponsor developer gatherings, fly
people to conferences etc.. Or might even be paying a doc writer to... help
	us.

It will not be a steering comittee, it will not engage in business activities
(well hopefully we have a list of OE friendly companies, where we can point
to if we get some kind of requests)

What is left to do:
We will have to register at the court, we plan to do this in April. Then we
can invite new members (the ones not present at the founding assembly)....

I hope this clarifies things a bit? If not please speak up.

z.
