I think we can safely dump some of these old Gtk+ versions. The only reason 
some of us stayed so long on 2.6 was the performance, with the optimized 
patches 2.10 was ok, so unless there are performance regressions in later 
versions, I don't think anyone will object. Same goes for glib btw., 2.18 has 
proven to be solid for quite a while.
