Hal 0.5.12 is disabled by default, btw, only angstrom sets a def-pref
for it.

It's part of util-linux-ng:

koen at dominion:/OE/angstrom-dev/deploy/glibc$ dpkg-deb -I
ipk/armv7a/libblkid1_2.15-r2.2_armv7a.ipk
  new debian package, version 2.0.

  Package: libblkid1
  Version: 2.15-r2.2
  Description: util-linux-ng blkid library
  Section: base
  Priority: optional
Maintainer: Angstrom Developers <angstrom-distro-devel at linuxtogo.org>
  License: GPL
  Architecture: armv7a
  OE: util-linux-ng
  Homepage: unknown
  Depends: libuuid1 (>= 1.41.5), libgcc1 (>= 4.3.3), libc6 (>= 2.6.1)
  Source:
http://kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/util-linux-ng/v2.15/util-linux-ng-2.15.tar.bz2
file://fix-make-c.patch;patch=1 file://optional-uuid.patch;patch=1

and:

koen at dominion:/OE/org.openembedded.dev/recipes/hal$ grep util-linux *
hal.inc:DEPENDS = "virtual/kernel util-linux-ng dbus-glib udev intltool
intltool-native expat libusb gperf-native"

So you'll have to see why it didn't get built for you.

regards,

Koen
