[oe] make explosion while building attr

Has anyone seen anything like this:

setup:
org.openembedded.dev
beagleboard machine
64-bit Ubuntu workstation
PARALLEL_MAKE = "-j 4"
BB_NUMBER_THREADS = "4"

It runs my workstation out of memory and is downright annoying!
