Hi Phil and Steve:

If we *either* install 

sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev

or if we do

bitbake gdk-pixbuf-csource-native

FIRST 


Then the

    bitbake gtk+

succeeds.

Otherwise, with the same tree used by Steve, same results as Steve mentions.

Any ideas why?
