We are open for any submissions regarding newer OpenJDK versions. Although AFAIK 9 and 10 are already out of support again.
Therefore if you plan to contribute a newer OpenJDK version: 11 would be preferred from our side ;-)

Nonetheless at least I currently have no time and use-case to look into OpenJDK11 for meta-java.

Regarding OpenJDK8: We will follow the jdk8u releases [1].
Concerning 6 & 7: AFAIK we are stuck with the versions currently available.

Normally we are only developing on master. Nonetheless if someone sends backport patches for older branches we will happily apply them.
