mplayer 1.0pre8 does not run on collie.  It fails with the following error:

mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libmad.so.0: cannot enable
executable stack as shared object requires: Error 14

There doesn't appear to be a configure option in the source to turn off the
check for noexecstack, so I've brute-forced it with the patch I'm adding to
this ticket.
