That doesn't exist in OE

> BOOTMODULES_RRECOMMENDS = "${@linux_module_packages('${PALMTX_MODULES}', d)} "

That method should be avoid, you can add kernel-module-<foo> directly into
MACHINE_EXTRA_RRECOMMENDS

> PALMTX_MODULES = "nvram sa1100-rtc zlib-inflate evdev battery backlight lcd loop affs cramfs \
> fat vfat msdos squashfs pxa27x-keypad palmld-ac97 palmtx-lcd pxapwm-bl \
> palmirkbd snd soundcore snd-pxa2xx-ac97 snd-pxa2xx-i2sound snd-pxa2xx-pcm \
> snd-page-alloc snd-ac97-bus snd-ac97-codec snd-pcm snd-timer snd-seq-device \
> snd-seq-midi-event snd-seq snd-seq-oss"

zlib-inflate, fat, vfat, msdos, squasfs, palmirkbd and snd* are policy, not
machine specific. MACHINE_EXTRA_RRECOMMENDS may only contain modules needed to
boot a device, everything else is policy and belongs in the distro configs.
