Summary: Updating kernel packages on LAB bootloader machines
fails due to symlink
Product: Openembedded
Version: Angstrom
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.0
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Build
AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
ReportedBy: koen at dominion.kabel.utwente.nl
QAContact: tinderbox-oe at gmx.net
The machines in OE that use the LAB bootloader have the following snippet in
their .conf (via an include):
# LAB can only resolve relative symlinks
ROOTFS_POSTPROCESS_COMMAND += "make_zimage_symlink_relative; "
Which is great, but the symlink will become absolute again if the user install
a kernel via the package-manager.
Proposed solution: put the make_zimage_symlink_relative method in the kernel.bb
