The way I have coded in the bb file does work. I will look at the kernel based
method in a few days and see if it works, and if it does not, see what changes
are required and bring them up on the linux-omap list if needed.

In the meantime, can you try the kernel generated by OE? Mine ends up in this
path:

[balister at ossie-dev oe_home]$ ls
tmp/deploy/glibc/images/omap5912osk/vmlinux-2.6.20-omap1-omap5912osk-20070403142052.bin 

but I use the angstrom distribution for building. I also have some notes on how
I flash the OSK here http://ossie.mprg.org/OSK_Notes .
