I've done some searching on this topic, and while I have no experience
whatsoever with drivers or kernels, I think that I may have found a
semi-partial fix:

The guy there has a posted dif that should let the module at least build, but
it still is very crash prone...I'm wondering if the sound/i2c/ak4535.c is at
fault, but just that speculation. :)
