In both cases, the bitbake build broke because of some changes that broke
potfiles entirely (I also believe from following the gpephone listserv that the
builds were changed without increment the version - 0.1 _may_ have worked at
some point, just didn't when I filed this bug).  The localization fixes were
never moved back to the 0.1 version, but are fixed in the 1.0 version.

Does this help at all?  Running a bitbake on the two packages would give the
exact error and logs.  I don't have them on my system anymore and my OE
environment is currently very badly broken because of a pixman build problem
(separate bug)
