Summary: kernel modules for WPA are not installed by default
                    2007.RC1.3
           Product: Openembedded
           Version: Angstrom 2007.12
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Distributions
        AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
        ReportedBy: joshua at willowisp.net
            Blocks: 2654

kernel-module-ieee80211-crypt-tkip
kernel-module-ieee80211-crypt-ccmp
kernel-module-michael-mic

are not available in the feeds or installed on the image (modprobe fails for
all three modules).

These modules are required for WPA (wpa_supplicant) to actually work.
michael_mic is required for both WPA1/2, ieee80211_crypt_tkip is required for
WPA1 and ieee80211_crypt_ccmp is required for WPA2

(per my limited understanding - with all three modules added, I can
authenticate to my home network (WPA1 with PSK) and my work network (WPA1/2
with PEAP/MS-CHAPv2)

I suggest that these should be added to the base image, although that is a
matter open to debate. They definitely should be available in the feeds.
Adding as blocker for feed population - inclusion on image is a judgment call
by the Angstrom maintainers.

These should be available for all kernels that support WPA (all at this point?)
- currently for me on the h2200, this is 2.6.21-hh20
