I saw this in the past as well.
Today, at least with RC2.2
(Angstrom-x11-image-glibc-ipk-2007.11RC2.2-poodle-installkit.tgz) a new
updater.sh is included in the tgz-file, which will warn you when the image is
too big. So, this stupid problem shouldn't happen any more.
RC2.2 boots now nicely on my poodle 5600.
