Summary: Poodle backlight control driver unreliable (too dark,
                    jumping light intensity)
           Product: Zaurus Kernel
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: collie
        AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org

The GPE panel "Light control" applet can control the backlight of the Zaurus
Poodle (5600). In principle it works, but it has quite some annoying bugs:
1. When moving the slider the screen gets sometimes scrambled and the light
intensity is jumping back and forth between very dark and very light.
2. The slider allows to pull it to zero. This is annoying, since the screen is
then completely dark and invisible, and so you nearly can't switch the light on
back.
