Grepping for the dependency_libs line gives me line 227 in base.bbclass:

                        __runcmd sed -e 's/^installed=yes$/installed=no/' -e
'/^dependency_libs=/s,${WORKDIR}[[:alnum:]/\._+-]*/\([[:alnum:]$


which does not match against the extra spaces surrounding the equal sign.
