I expect PIN authentication to work in OPIE, as Sharp Rom has this
functionality. If it's not working then its a bug.

Whether "PIN authentication != data safety" is a subjective decision. We all
have different requirements and therefore standards for what we consider "data
safety".

Mine is very different from yours, Martin.  Thanks for announcing your view to
everyone, but I did not ask for your view on this issue.
