           Summary: sound mixer misconfiguration
           Product: Openembedded
           Version: Angstrom
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Distributions
        AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
        ReportedBy: utx at penguin.cz
         QAContact: tinderbox-oe at gmx.net

According to documentation of WM8750 and original spitz.c mixer comments and my
experiments, it seems, that zaurusd scripts to handle insert/removal events and
the default configuration are incorrect:

- "Right Mixer Left Playback" seems to be incorrect switch for speaker
playback. "Right Speaker Playback Invert Switch" seems to be the recommended
one.

- "Right Speaker Playback Invert Switch" can be on by default all the time. No
need to switch it.

- "Right Mixer Left Bypass" seems to be incorrect switch. It only sends analog
signal to output bypassing digital path. It has no use in Zaurus, because sound
input 1 is binded with output (left) or not connected (right), and sound inputs
2 and 3 are not connecter.

- Right Mixer Left Playback is kept on after headphones insertion. It causes to
play "half mono" - left signal is sent to both left and right headphone.
