Summary: icewm is unusable in the default configuration
           Product: Openembedded
           Version: Angstrom
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Distributions
        AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
        ReportedBy: utx at penguin.cz
         QAContact: tinderbox-oe at gmx.net

icewm is unusable in the default configuration:

1) Default sizes and fonts are too large for small screen devices.

Proposed fix: Halve all sizes in the default configuration or provide
customized configuration file.

2) Default session is unusable. It launches only panel, which is not able to
start anything

Possible fixes:

- Either integrate icewm with matchbox: disable icewm panel, copy matchbox
session as icewm session and launch icewm instead of matchbox window manager

- Or fix icewm desktop and menu to show someting usable

3) Predefined hotkeys are not accessible on most devices supported by Angstrom

Proposed fix: Unsure, At least on clamshell Zauruses, Fn+PIM keys can be used.
Virtual offscreen keys can be used (or space between them). Other combinations
are also possible.

4) icewm renders keylaunch obsolete. Launching separate daemon is not needed,
icewm integrates key launcher, which only needs to be configured. But it's not
easy to disable keylaunch: It is started as a part of X session scripts, but it
should be probably part of desktop session start scripts.

5) Disable tooltips.

6) Rotation problems. It seems to be X fault.
