I deduce from your comments on IRC that you disagree with my assesment of the
sitation and think that

gconvert.c:48:2: error: #error GNU libiconv not in use but included iconv.h is
from libiconv

doesn't mean that you have built libiconv instead of virtual/libiconv?

Please tell me why you think I'm wrong and why I should stay away from the
bugtracker....
