funny thing.  It builds on one machine but not another.  It builds on my
Thinkpad X24 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) III Mobile CPU 1133MHz.  It does not
build on an "Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHz".  The only difference in conf/*
is

X24:+ASSUME_PROVIDED += "virtual/java-native"
Celeron:+BBMASK = "maemo"

BB_NUMBER_THREADS: 5 (Celeron) vs. 3 (X24)
PARALLEL_MAKE = 12 (Celeron) vs. 3 (X24)

Both builds were more or less from scratch, tmp had been cleaned out recently. 
Now, go figure.
