While testing bug #2229 with angstrom-20070605, I had to reset my spitz several
times with the battery switch. After each reset, I would go into the rescue
system (d+b on power on) and run a fsck -pvf on my home and root partitions. I
noticed that the fsck in the rescue system is dated June 2000 or so. Could the
fact that I am using a 7 year old version of fsck to repair a recently created
ext3 partition be causing binary corruption? I have not noticed any corruption
in my home partition's data files.

I suppose I could reflash, do an md5sum check for all the bin files in / and
use the old fsck to repair the root partition after doing a reset to create the
dirty file system and check ipkg's binary files specifically. Thoughts?

Note that md5sums for install media matched those of the download directory.
