           Summary: RFE: Better wifi support

          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux

I think we need better wifi support and yes, that includes first and foremost a
working GUI. I only tested opie until now, but wpa was a mess. I don't think
there even is a GUI for that. GPE might be better, but the necessary manual
steps revealed quite a few flaws deeper down.

1) modules don't call depmod after installation
2) it seems the tkip and cccmp crypto module needs aes and arc4,
   but they are not a dependency.
3) others I don't remember

Overall, a very frustrating experience. And I still have not got it working.

You might say "it is working for me, this bug is invalid". Well, I guess
eventually it can be made to work. But we should prepare ourselves for more
end-users reports of the type "this sh!t ain't working. Fix it!" and we
should really do that before the release of Angstrom. This usability
experience was BAD! I think it was actually a plus that I am not so familiar
with WLAN encryption yet as that put me closer to the average Joe who will be
using Angstrom in the future.

Aim of this bug: WLAN that works OOTB inclusing WEP and WPA configured via GUI.
