I generated an perl-native (5.8.8) version with the following pathcs applied:
* Applying perl-prelink-lpthread.patch ...                                      
* Applying perl-perldoc-emptydirs.patch ...                                     
* Applying perl-5.8.8-reorder-INC.patch ...                                     
* Applying perl-picdl.patch ...                                                 
* Applying perl-noksh.patch ...                                                 
* Applying perl-5.8.7-MakeMaker-RUNPATH.patch ...                               
* Applying perl-regexp-nossp.patch ...                                          
* Applying perl-hppa-pa7200-configure.patch ...                                 
* Applying perl-5.8.8-USE_MM_LD_RUN_PATH.patch ...                              
* Applying perl-5.8.8-links.patch ...                                           
* Applying perl-5.8.8-cplusplus.patch ...                                       
* Applying perl-5.8.8-asm-page-h-compile-failure.patch ...         

This pathcs are applied on gentoo distributions as mine, that are configured
for maximum performance of the hosts as my machine.
