After fresh installation of Angstrom (on a Zaurus SL-C860 - the problem has
been reported at least on 760), the sound appears to be disabled.  To enable
it, it is enough to give the command 

amixer sset 'Output Mixer HiFi Playback Swit' on 

A permanent fix is to set "value false" inside control.14 in /etc/asound.state
(package alsa-state, so I am CC'ing the bug to the developer).
