Umm, while the work-around should work just fine, I believe it to be
problematic at best. Pulling in an (otherwise) unused kernel-module is
less-than-ideal for embedded systems.
I'd suggest removing ipv6 support from wget and adding a new wget-ipv6 package
(with the RRECOMMEND).
wget-ipv6 should RREPLACE wget or as an alternative (heh) use
update-alternatives.
However, as the ipv6 version handles ip4 as well, RREPLACE is the better option
here.
