I am experiencing a similar problem with make install on my Zaurus. I get bogus
paths too, starting at /home/hrw/... (which does not exist on my device) I
originally thought the problem was the source tarball, so I went to #bzflag and
those guys diagnosed my problem as bad paths in /usr/lib/libstdc++.la,
libcurl.la, and libsupc++.la. Not all tarballs are effected by this problem,
for example, dgen builds fine. (although it is segfaulting, probably unrelated)
The package I am having trouble building is BzFlag. http://www.bzflag.org/
(which experiences the bug at linking of bzfs)

I am on a Zaurus SL-C3200 "Terrier", if that helps.
