Summary: Orinoco drivers loading instead of hostap
Product: Openembedded
Version: Angstrom
Platform: ARM
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Build
AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
ReportedBy: jerry at weareburgess.net
QAContact: tinderbox-oe at gmx.net
On a Angstrom.2007.1 for spitz built yesterday, using Ambicom WL1100 card,
orinoco drivers are loading. However card does work. If I remember correctly
monitor mode is problematic with the orinoco drivers. If I remove the orinoco
modules (old work around for oz354x) WEP no longer works. When I flash OZ
3.5.4.2rc2 it loads the hostap drivers without removing orinoco modules.
Below is dmessg from insert with orinoco modules removed:
<5>pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 1
<5>pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia1.0
<7>hostap_cs: setting Vcc=33 (constant)
