REG_STARTEND definition has been added to glibc on 2004-01-15, i.e. on glibc
2.3.5.
Hence the compilation failure on debian sarge (which has the libc6_2.3.2) or
any other system with glibc < 2.3.5.

We should either add glibc-2.3.5 in the list of required software, or find a
workaround for such system with old glibc.
I found this workaround on the web http://cvs.openpkg.org/chngview?cn=34332 but
I don't know if it works and if it is safe to apply (maybe does it break
file-native).
