I replace the internal microdrive of my C3000 with a Kingston Ultimate 8G flash
and went through the repartitioning and flashing procedures. After flashing,
when the machine boots up, I get the "Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable
to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)" message.

The "cardctl ident" output is below:
Socket 1:
product info: "KINGSTON", "CF8GB", ""
manfid: 0x000a, 0x0000
function: 4 (fixed disk)
