No, this bug is exactly about OPIE UI userspace problems. hh.org kernels work
well regarding IrDA (with a limited testing such thing as IrDA can get).

I personally experienced following issue, this was yet with 1.2.2:
1. When calling "Send" from address book, the dialog hanged OPIE in few
seconds. Only OPIE hanged, device was SSHable, qpe process killable (but with
-9 IIRC). The "Send" dialog is actually common with BT, so maybe hang actually
due to it. Receive and port state control worked fine.

2. Upstream bug http://opie-bugs.oszine.de/view.php?id=1829 discusses similar
issue, but with 2.4 kernel and not immediate.

3. There was another report that "IrDA applet in 1.2.3-pre is completely
broken, while 1.2.2 worked". Details were not provided/forgotten.
