Just had it (or at least I think that was the same problem back then) again:

configure.ac:51: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_MSG_NOTICE
      If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
      See the Autoconf documentation.

Not sure if building angstrom on angstrom is a good test - it uses *-native
tools, not the build system one's.
