Summary: Resume problems after longer suspend time
Product: Openembedded
Version: Angstrom
Platform: ARM
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P3
Component: Distributions
AssignedTo: openembedded-issues at lists.openembedded.org
ReportedBy: tottiwagner at web.de
QAContact: tinderbox-oe at gmx.net
Set-up:
C 1000 (Akita)
no SD cards, no CF adapters
basic installation right after flashing, no additional software installed
Tested releases:
pdaXrom (build: 1.1.0beta3)
OZ (build: 3.5.4.1)
Angstrom (build: 20070507)
Cacko-Rom (build: 1.23)
Problem:
The Z suspend correctly and can resume direct.
After a longer suspend time. The Z will not resume anymore. One has to to a
hard reset (pulling battery).
The exact suspend time between working resume and hang up is still unkown.
Reproducible for suspend time overnight (6-8 hours). However, maybe less
suspend time will create the same problem.
This bug happens for all images based on the 2.6 kernel.
For Cacko-Rom resume and suspend over longer periods WORKS.
Recorded dmesg after every resume and suspend didn't show any problems.
This bug might be only related to the C 1000 / Akita, since Spitz owners
reported that the do not have any resume problem.
Battery is O.K. Uses a complete new one.
Bug was confirmed with and without connected charger.
