Not sure, whether this bug is related to the bug 1375.
This one describe a problem with resume (wake-up) after a longer suspend time
Bug 1375 AFAIK describes a problem to suspend and not to resume. 

Since suspend and resume is working for "small" suspend times, this bug is
really related to a low-level-problem depending on the Z hardware. If this bug
is really not a problem for Spitz, the little difference between the Akita and
Spitz hardware might be the reason for that.
