Same problem here with my akita.
After flashing to akita/20070507/20070512 and successfully updating the system
with 'ipkg update', ipkg stopped working:

An error ocurred, return value: 6.

Interesting to see that the non-existing /tmp/ipkg-CWjSJX directory is used for
each download, but 6 other temp directories are created (ipkg.3Y4Hhr     
ipkg.9or3Td ipkg.Mz8X3i ipkg.jJHtJ1 ipkg.ko1rvz ipkg.weK8J8).
