Currently(!) working for me(!) pointercal.

Few more commentary:
<psokolovsky_> koen: well, there's scientific common sense: don't try to
predict vast sequence parameters of which you don't know based on 1-2 samples.
If that's no enough for you (hm), another reason: internal means of
measurements in TS drivers are subject to change "without notice".
<koen> that looks like "we changed the TS driver" instead of "millions of
products have different parameters"
<psokolovsky_> koen: this, or that, or maybe something 3rd, or 43667th, i.e.
essentially random - end effect is the same - users blocked from TS access.
that's risk level what is important here, not exact reason of why it could not
to work
