After talking w/ Jake Thebault-Spieker it became clear that he was merely the
victim of a confusing error message that has nothing to do with FTP at all.

The original reported didn't answer a query in 6+ month, so I'll close this bug
as it doesn't make much sense in any case.

I'm happy to see me corrected tho =)
