Hello,

yesterday I forgot to describe that, of course , I extracted the zImage from
the ipk prior to copiyng the image to the CF.

I flsahed the 2.6.23-rc5 again, no change in the result.

uname -a gives me 2.6.23 from Nov 4 13:16:01, so I am pretty sure I flashed the
correct image :-)

looking into /dev gives me the same result as koen found without udev:

254, 0   /dev/mmcblk0
254, 1   /dev/mmcblk0p1
 60, 0   /dev/mmcda
 60, 1   /dev/mmcda1
 60, 2   /dev/mmcda2


in /sys/block/mmcblk0/dev and /sys/block/mmcblck0/mmcblk0p1/dev there are the
right device numbers (179, 0 & 1).

@ Graeme Gregory : As I wrote in my prior post, I have no Idea what the 1e...
means. Is your patch included in the 2.6.23-rc5 kernel image?

I tried to attach an output of dmesg after I removed and reinserted the SD card
after the crash of altboot.
