Okay.. I figured gas needs to be linked against libm. 

It builds when adding `need_libm=yes` to binutils-2.18/gas/configure. 
So a brute-force fix is -cdevshell binutils and adding need_libm=yes
in gas/configure somewhere around the switch-case at line 12859.

Can someone put together a proper patch based on this? I feel
like a lack insight..
